What up! My name is Kace Layton. Welcome home finally. I'm a 24-year-old student at Texas State University, attempting a double-major in Journalism and Spanish. I'd love to parlay the Journalism part into a Sports Writing career, and boy I'd sure love to be bilingual. As you can obviously see, I don't have nice teeth. On the positive side, it sure looks like I tan well.
Anyway, I'm from Lake Jackson, TX. You can find that charming town in the heart of Brazoria County, located about 45 minutes South of Houston. I moved to Austin about five years ago and have fallen in love with Central Texas as a whole. I really dig the emphasis the people in this area put into quality of life, versus where Houston folk (caution: stereotype) seem to be a bit more industry oriented.
I hate to start paragraphs with 'I.' I work at a pretty cool little, locally-owned restaurant in downtown Austin. Se llama Austin Land & Cattle. Really relaxed place. Great food. Great owners.
